Néstor Pérez-Molière’s video and photo-based works explore issues with body image ideals, food addictions, and dysmorphia. His video series The Body is Still Experiencing/Expecting Some (Dis)Comfort (2019)—the inspiration for the title of this exhibition—explores the conflicted nature of desire, both as a motivator and an object of obsession.
