Empty Set Gallery is pleased to announce a site-specific installation Sectional Revelation by Sohhee Oh. The installation extrapolates corridors of 860 E 136th Street, where the gallery is located, in a scaled reality. It exposes architectural elements while carrying the duality of scenes behind the doors where the private world remains. 

The installation resembles the artist’s experience of living in confined spaces of New York City apartments. This installation considers the highrise, where the vertical skyprint far exceeds its earthly footprint.  

Focusing on the experience of scaled reality, Oh emphasizes the artist's architectural practice alongside her artistic practice in its realistic aesthetic perspective.  

Sectional Revelation is an open-ended experience beginning outside the building and fluidly continuing into the gallery.
